Like much of our art inspiration, we first stumbled upon Istanbul-based photographer and collage artist, Merve Ozaslan on Tumblr (obviously). Her recent series, Natural Act, stopped our scrollbar in its tracks. A collection of collages, Natural Act exemplifies the dichotomy of humanity and nature – the relationship between the two and how both coexist in an era of urbanization and progression. Each collage, in some way reflects nature’s dominance and presence in urbanization, as depicted by the city scenes. The breathtaking landscapes emerge from storefronts, city sidewalks and building walls. Our key takeaway from this inspiring series: mother nature always wins.
