Campers rejoice! Esteemed boho babe Tamar Wider, the brains behind the coveted 2-Bandits brand, is launching a collection of contemporary clothing that pays homage to summer camp memories, appropriately deemed, Camp Collection. The 25 piece assortment includes cute overalls, tartan jumpsuits, flirty onesies and crop tops ranging from $48 to $178. Inspired by the casual and playful attire from Wider’s own camp days at Camp Sabra in Missouri, each piece has been camp tested and smore approved. Bring on the campfire vibes, tree climbing and rope swinging – summer-camp-chic is the next big thing. Leaf through our Q&A with Wider below as we reminisce of the days of camp life, and join the camp cult to shop the collection here.
CULT: What’s your favorite summer camp memory?
Tamar: Raiding the boys’ cabins at night and playing spin the bottle. I love kissing, and at that age, man, pure innocence. I wish I could put that feeling in a bottle.
CULT: Where are some of your favorite places to travel to or places that you’ve camped?
Tamar: My fiance and I go up the the Russian River most weekends here in Northern California in the summer. We also love visiting all of the National Parks. NorCal is the raddest!
CULT: Three things that you never camp or travel without are:
Tamar: A flask, a headlamp (so that both hands are free!), and my little red cooler. It’s a lucky cooler; I use it in most photo shoots as well.
CULT: How to live like everyday is summer camp:
Tamar: Try not to take life so seriously, it should be fun! Owning two businesses can be challenging and often times takes away from the fun part of life. After awhile, I’ve developed such thick skin and can easily let go of things. My fiance is my partner and also owns two restaurants here in SF. We both went to summer camp and it was there that we really learned what fun is. Fun is mandatory in our household. It’s all about fun living!
CULT: Favorite camp song:
Tamar: I would have to say Country Roads by John Denver. We changed the words around and put our camp name, Camp Sabra in it!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
