As if we needed added motivation to drink some green juice, the folks at Pressed have introduced its latest project with Summerland Produce. The SoCal staple vows to bring fresh and organic fruits and veggies to those who are less fortunate through in-school activities. By purchasing the purveyor’s Kids Juice Sampler, a portion of the proceeds will go to the charity box program. Now you can feel good and do good.


Whether you’re a wave-catching pro or can barely hang ten, you should really check out Joni Sternbach’s collection of photographs titled SurfLand. The series is made up of tintypes, and the technique definitely lends a nostalgic feel to the images.





We’re all about season-appropriate eats, so when we stumbled upon Ilana Freddye‘s recipe for the perfect summer salad, you know we dropped everything and booked it to the nearest farmers’ market for some fresh watermelon, avocado, and feta cheese. Chopped into perfect cubes and plated like a colorful checkerboard, this dish is almost too pretty to eat.





Tappan Collective, a hub for young and talented artists, has just introduced Molly Berman to the mix. The L.A. dweller takes large-scale photographs of found landscapes ranging from Upstate New York to Reykjavik. Trust, we’re eager to feature Berman in our CULT Obsessed series! Stay tuned…





Searching for last minute 4th of July plans? Head to AmericaFest, the 87th Annual 4th of July Celebration at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. The celebration includes food trucks, live entertainment, inflatables, and oh yeah – Southern California’s largest display of fireworks! Thursday, July 4,10am – 9:30pm. Cost: $13; kids under 8 are free
