If his Penny video was any indication, LA’s own Hanni El Khatib has an unconventional approach to his music videos. In Pay No Mind, director Simon Cahn has enlisted a crew of cheerleaders (In H.E.K. uniforms, no less!) to dance in a car garage to the musicians latest hit. About the filmmaker, El Khatib said to Nowness that, “Simon has a very specific type of humor that he always injects in his work. I like it when creatives don’t take themselves too seriously.” We too appreciate the nonsensical and somewhat surreal approach — we just wish the handsome Hanni made an appearance earlier than the 2:00 mark!
